Sweet n Spicy steak sandwich served atop a Torta sandwich roll with Swiss cheese, pickles & avocado.
This is one of my favorite sandwiches and is probably the only sandwich I don’t serve with a side. A – it’s a very full size in itself & hence leaves very little scope for a side & B – The contrast of flavors from the balsamic reduction, onions & the spices need no complementing flavor from a side. And this is for Me a very winter sandwich – not that it taste’s any less in summer – but somehow I relish it in the winters.
Thought of the day – I insist that a Torta sandwich roll as the choice of bread for this sandwich – Anything else is a compromise.
A rich vanilla porter is perfect to pair with this sandwich – goes with the holiday theme as well J - try the Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter.
As always – Love is the most important ingredient.
